Congressman Alford Leads MO Delegation in Letter to White House Concerning Illegal Migrant Flights

Washington, DC – Earlier today, as first reported by Washington Examiner, Congressman Alford (MO-04) led five of his colleagues from Missouri in a letter to President Biden concerning flights of illegal aliens from our border to various cities all over America. The letter specifically asks:

  1. What procedures are in place to track the foreign aliens admitted through the CHNV parole program?
    1. Specifically, the parolees that were flown into the following airports outlined in the April 2024 DHS response to House Committee on Homeland Security:

                                          i. February 2023 into Kansas City International Airport.

ii. April 2023 into St. Louis Lambert International Airport.

  1. Have any more potential beneficiaries of the CHNV parole program been flown into Missouri after August 2023?
    1. If so, please provide any and all documentation on determining any individual’s eligibility for CHNV parole.
  2. Provide any and all information around individuals that were granted entry to the United States through the CHNV parole program that are residing in Missouri.
  3. Provide any and all documentation about plans to ensure that foreign aliens admitted through the CHNV parole program be returned to their home countries since the INA specifically states that “such parole of such alien shall not be regarded as an admission of the alien”.
  4. Provide the statutorily required “case-by-case basis” for each foreign national admitted via the CHNV parole program on the February 2023 flight into Kansas City International Airport and the April 2023 flight into St. Louis Lambert International Airport.

The following Representatives have co-signed this letter.

  • J. Smith
  • S. Graves
  • Luetkemeyer
  • Wagner
  • Burlison

Congressman Mark Alford issued the following statement:

“This Administration’s open border policies have transformed every American community into a border community. Despite allowing over 10 million illegal crossings at our southern border, the President is still finding new ways to bring foreign nationals into our country. President Biden has ignored the rule of law and allowed almost half a million individuals to fly directly into the United States.

In response to a subpoena from the House Committee on Homeland Security, we now have details on where these foreign nationals were placed, which includes Kansas City and St. Louis. I am joined by Missouri House Republicans in demanding answers on the unvetted migrants being flow into our state.”
