Congressman Alford Introduces Resolution Honoring 202nd Anniversary of the Missouri State Seal

Washington, DC – Earlier today, Congressman Mark Alford (MO-04) introduced a resolution to commemorate the 202nd anniversary of the creation of the Missouri State Seal. On January 11, 1822, the Missouri General Assembly adopted an act that established a symbol of the state of Missouri, for the people of Missouri.

 

To honor this anniversary, Congressman Alford delivered the following floor speech.

 

Congressman Alford added the below statement:

“Missouri is our home, and this seal represents everything that we are as Missourians. The seal symbolizes the bravery, strength, and unity of the ‘Show Me State’. I could not be prouder to represent this fantastic state. I look forward to a prosperous future for our home.”
