“The work of USSTRATCOM is critical to our nation’s security,” said Congressman Alford. “The briefing highlighted the importance of sustaining and modernizing our nuclear forces to counter current and emerging threats. Missouri’s Fourth District plays a central role in our nation’s deterrence capabilities with Whiteman Air Force Base, the exclusive home of the B-2 Spirit and the future B-21 Raider. General Cotton’s expertise underscores the need for Congress to continue supporting these vital efforts.”

“I’m grateful to General Cotton and the STRATCOM team for their time sitting down with Co-Chair Congressman Alford, myself, and our fellow members of the Long-Range Strike Caucus,” said Congressman Carbajal. “Ensuring all three legs of our nation’s nuclear triad are fully capable and modernized is the critical mission of our Caucus, and STRATCOM's transparency with our group is a key piece to our mission of advocating for these programs to uphold both our strategic deterrence and our national security.”
