Congressman Mark Alford Applauds Establishment of New U.S. Passport Agency in Kansas City, MO

Washington, DC – Congressman Alford is thrilled to announce that Kansas City has been selected as one of six locations for a new U.S. passport agency, a significant achievement made possible through our hard work on the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). This development will improve access to vital services for our constituents.

Key Points:

  • Improved Accessibility: Our work on the NDAA has focused on enhancing accessibility to passport centers, ensuring that residents of MO-04 and beyond no longer face the inconvenience of traveling over five hours to obtain passport services.
  • Community Benefit: The establishment of the Kansas City Passport Agency marks a big win for our community, providing much-needed in-person and emergency passport services.
  • Efficient Processing: This new agency will help us better support our community in Missouri’s Fourth Congressional District with faster and more efficient passport processing. It's not just a win for Kansas City but for all of Missouri.

Congressman Alford issued the following statement:

"The establishment of a new U.S. passport agency in Kansas City is a monumental win for our community.
