Today, Congressman Mark Alford issued the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 7148, the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2026 and H.R. 7147, the Homeland Security Appropriations Act, 2026. These packages include the final four of the twelve annual appropriations bills that will fund the federal government through September 30, 2026.

We finished the government funding process, advancing the America First agenda and cutting government spending,” said Congressman Alford. “The mainstream media said it was impossible, but we proved them wrong once again. This historic achievement sends a message that the House is back to governing through an open, transparent process. “These final four appropriations bills strengthen our national defense, solidify President Trump’s secure border, as well as prioritize public health and safety, all while cutting funding for woke and wasteful programs.
