Yesterday, Ford Motor Company announced they will be keeping AM radio in their 2024 model cars and restoring it in all 2023 electric vehicles. This comes one week after Congressman Alford spoke on the floor of the House of Representatives demanding car manufactures keep AM radio available to all Americans, no matter the automobile they drive.

Congressman Mark Alford issued the following statement: 

One week ago, I stood before you all to take a stand for AM radio and call on car manufacturers to reconsider their decision to eliminate AM from their vehicles. Well, I have some great news to report. Ford has decided to keep AM radio in their 2024 models.  

It is a start, yes, but there is more work to be done. 

 I am calling on all the other auto manufacturers to follow Ford's lead and preserve the presence of AM radio in their vehicles.
