Taylor Burks of Boone Co. Missouri to Serve as Witness for House Small Business Committee

Later this week, Taylor Burks of Missouri’s 4th Congressional District will be serving as a witness for the House Committee on Small Business. Mr. Burks served 16 years in the United States Navy: 8 years active duty and 8 years in the Navy Reserves. While in the Navy, Burks was awarded the following medals:

  • Defense Meritorious Service Medal;
  • Joint Commendation Medal;
  • Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal;
  • Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal; and
  • Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.

Since leaving the Navy, Burks has been as vital part of our society, serving in our state government and leading in the small business community.

In 2022, Burks joined Rost Inc. as President & General Manager. Rost is a landscape firm headquartered in Columbia that has provided services to central Missouri since 1985.
