Representative Mark Alford Announces Committee Assignments

Representative Mark Alford from Missouri’s 4th Congressional District today announces key committee assignments following selections by House leadership. Rep. Mark Alford was selected to the House Armed Services Committee and House Agriculture Committee, following the retirement of former Rep. Vicky Hartzler who served on both committees during her tenure in Congress.

“It’s an honor to serve on the two most critical committees for Missouri’s 4th Congressional District in my first term in Congress,” said Rep. Mark Alford. “Supporting our military and our nation’s food supply are the most important issues to our national security and I’ll never stop fighting from the House Armed Services Committee and House Agriculture Committee.”

The House Armed Services Committee is focused on bolstering our military assets, building strength against Communist China, and is a critical committee to the 4th District which is home to Whiteman Air Force Base and Fort Leonard Wood. The House Agriculture Committee advocates for the interest of our nation’s farmers, ranchers, and agricultural business. Rep. Alford will serve as a critical voice for Missouri’s 95,000 farms in the upcoming farm bill in the 118th Congress.
