Hey folks, my team and I are staying busy in the district and in Washington. We wanted to let you know of all the things we are working on to support Missouri's Fourth Congressional District!
We're all living in unique, unprecedented, and often dangerous times. Recently, there was an assassination attempt on former President Trump, Secret Service Director Cheatle resigned, Prime Minister Netanyahu addressed a Joint Meeting of Congress that provoked protests outside of the Capitol, and so much more...

Small Business Hearing on Executive Overreach:
Examining the SBA’s Electioneering Efforts with Associate Administrator for the Office of Field Operations, Jennifer Kim
Liberals are trying to turn the Small Business Administration into their own campaign headquarters. What an illegal misuse of taxpayer dollars!
What we wanted to know is, how does 15 years of campaigning to elect liberals give someone the experience necessary to be an Associate Administrator at the SBA?
It doesn't.
We believe that the SBA needs to get back to supporting Main Street America.

Scrutiny of Foreign Ownership of Land Surrounding Whiteman Air Force Base
Last year, Senator Schmitt and I sent a letter to the Treasury Department requesting Whiteman Air Force Base (WAFB) be added to the list of protected military installations.
Recently, the Committee on Foreign Investments in the U.S. (CFIUS) followed through and expanded scrutiny of foreign ownership of land surrounding Whiteman.
Whiteman is home to the B-2 and the future home of the B-21. As a pillar of our strategic deterrence, Whiteman Air Force Base must be protected at all costs.

Like all of you, when I saw the devastating news that President Trump had been shot, my jaw dropped to the floor. I couldn’t believe it. How could this happen in 2024? My mind immediately began racing with questions: How is President Trump? Is he OK? Where was he shot? There were so many questions.
At the time, I was traveling to spend the week with my Republican colleagues in Wisconsin. They immediately locked down the hotel we were staying in and increased security. Soon after, questions arose about the lapse in security on the part of the Secret Service.
With Republicans in the majority, the House has been able to put a spotlight on the ineptitude and the incompetence of the Biden-Harris administration and on the failures of the U.S. Secret Service. We have been able to demand accountability.
This week, the Oversight Committee held a critical hearing with Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle, where she faced a bipartisan grilling. Both sides of the aisle slammed her for not providing needed information and transparency following the attempted assassination of Donald J. Trump. After mounting pressure, she finally resigned this week, and it's about time.
In her testimony, Director Cheatle testified that the building where the shooter attempted to assassinate President Trump was not included in their security perimeter. A building just 150 yards away, with a direct line of sight to a former president and current presidential candidate? Unacceptable.
Here are ten critical questions we prepared for Director Cheatle before her resignation. We'll continue pressing for answers to these questions from the new head of the Secret Service, the head of the FBI, and every relevant agency with information we need. America deserves answers:

Debating on the House Floor
Our House funding bills will slash the EPA’s funding and rein in the Biden-Harris administration's job-killing climate and environmental regulations — including Waters of the United States.
The EPA needs to operate on real science, not push a radical political agenda. Watch here.

Boone County Fair Dairy Goat Show
|
The Boone County Fair Dairy Goat Show offers a range of great classes, including showmanship and goat show proper for 4-H members.
These classes offer folks essential tools to successfully show their goat and answer any question a judge may ask. The goats entered into a show must be born and raised on the farm owned by the person who shows it. They even have an obstacle course for the goats!
We were pleased to attend this show as well as stop by the 4-H building to meet with constituents and see all of the current projects, including the ones selected for the State Competition!
We look forward to seeing the future successes of these amazing young individuals in 4-H!

Morgan County Fair Dog Show
The Morgan County Fair hosted a Dog Show with five wonderful pups. They completed classes in agility, obedience, and showmanship.
The agility class had tunnels and jumps, while the obedience class included walking patterns, speeds, and commands.
Our team had a blast in Versailles speaking with constituents, connecting with the community, and watching these dogs show off their great skills!
